RDFD-旋转二极管故障检测装置是我公司在引进的英国BRUSH公司的MAVR自动电压调节器技术的基础上，开发了适合无刷励磁系统的检测装置。它继承了MAVR关于旋转二极管检测的功能，并结合了数百台套的现场运行经验的基础上开发研制的单独旋转二极管故障的产品。它适用于所有无刷励磁系统。
